MathematicsTaught by: Tony Randall/Willow MyrlandJGEMS will provide multi-level math instruction aligned to the Oregon Curriculum Content Standards. Students in high school level math classes will take math class outside of JGEMS under terms negotiated by JGEMS, the District and Waldo. JGEMS math classes will be designed to support a team approach to skill acquisition and problem solving, allowing students the opportunity to learn from each other as well as benefit from direct instruction. JGEMS math instruction will integrate with the thematic units that weave throughout the JGEMS curriculum model. Students will see the connection between math and their other studies as they apply their math skills and knowledge to their research and service projects. Students will use the Connected Math program. |
